Victoria University Thrive Grant 2025

This donor-funded grant is designed to support current students to help ease the financial costs of education and to help set them up for success in their chosen field of study.

Students can access funds for items such as textbooks, tools of trade and other course materials that are directly related to their study.

Benefits

The value of the grant will be determined by the evidence provided in your application. Please be sure to clearly identify the expense/s for which you are applying for grant assistance, including travel, uniform, placement expenses etc.

Payment will be made to your nominated bank account within 10–15 business days after accepting the offer.

Requirements

The VU Thrive grant will be available for current onshore students who:

• are enrolled in a HE award or TAFE course
• are enrolled in a minimum of 48 credit points for Higher Education and 270 hours for TAFE
• are experiencing financial hardship in regards to educational expenses related to their studies – tuition fees and SSAF excluded
• have not applied for and received a VU Thrive Grant in the same academic year
• provide supporting evidence including, but not limited to:
  • bank statements
  • invoices
  • quotes.

Selection Process

• All questions must be completed in detail to determine eligibility. 
• Applications will be assessed by the VU Scholarships Office.
