Monash Graduate Scholarship 2027

The Monash Graduate Scholarship (MGS) supports outstanding domestic and international students undertaking a Master’s by Research or PhD at Monash University in Australia.

The scholarship provides a living allowance to help recipients focus on their research, with eligible students also able to receive relocation assistance. Applicants are assessed competitively based on academic excellence, research outputs and previous research experience.

The MGS provides:

• a relocation allowance, if eligible.

There are a number of tuition scholarships available for our international students that can be packaged with this stipend.

Requirements

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder
• An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

• meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements; and
• meet Monash English language proficiency requirements.

Selection Process

• Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.

How To Apply

• Graduate research scholarships applications are submitted at the same time as your course application, unless you are already enrolled.  Whether you are a new applicant or a current student, the myApp Portal is used for both course admission and scholarship applications.  You do not need to select specific scholarships, eligible applicants are automatically considered for all available graduate research scholarships.
