UQ Ruthning Memorial Scholarship 2025

Established in 1960 by a legacy of $4,000 given by Miss E. S. D. Ruthning, representing $2,000 from her estate and $2,000 from the estate of her sister Miss V. E. M. Ruthning, in memory of their father H. L. E. Ruthning, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.

$2,500 for 1 semester.

Requirements

You're eligible if you:

  • are a domestic student
  • received, in the year of the award, either:
    • the TC Beirne School of Law Scholarship or
    • the Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (Lead) Scholarship or
    • the UQLA Endowment Fund Scholarship
  • are enrolled full time in the first year of an Approved Program
  • have completed 4 units of LAWS courses in your first semester of the Approved Program

Selection Process

The Award will go to the student who received the highest marks for 4 units of LAWS courses in their first semester of the approved program.
