Supervisor: Professor Warwick Bowen
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class team at the Queensland Quantum Optics Lab.
Optomechanical technologies offer unprecedented precision when applied in sensing applications. For instance. Kilometre-scale gravitational wave interferometers can observe the collisions of black holes in the distant universe. In our lab, we have pioneered the miniaturisation of these technologies onto a silicon chip, for applications in medical diagnostics and imaging, chemical analysis, navigation and communications.
$32,192 per annum (2023 rate), indexed annually. A top-up of $6,000 per annum is also available.
You're eligible if you meet the entry requirements for a higher degree by research.
