Summary
Requirements
You’re eligible if:
- you are a domestic student in accordance with the University’s Student Fees Policy;
- you are enrolling as a commencing student in any bachelor program at UQ in semester 1 in the year of the scholarship;
- you have not completed any prior tertiary study at bachelor level or higher;
- you can demonstrate significant financial disadvantage through achieving the maximum points for the ‘Financial Hardship’ category of QTAC’s Educational Access Scheme;
- you have been awarded The Queensland Commitment Scholarship;
- you are a resident of an Outer Regional, Remote or Very Remote area in the year prior to commencing studies; and
- you will undertake a program of study that will contain a Significant Component of STEM.
Selection Process
Preference will be given to students who (in order of preference):
- can demonstrate that, in the year prior to starting at UQ -
- are a permanent resident of a Remote, Very Remote area; or
- are permanent resident of an Outer Regional Area; AND
- will study a designated program in STEM or a program with a STEM major.
