The Clarence Valley Orchestra Medical Student Scholarship was established to support the future of rural and regional medical practice, offering up to $5,000 to the successful candidate who is planning to undertake their Phase 4 Selective and/or Elective rotations in the Clarence Valley.
The aim is that students will get a significant experience in a rural or remote setting. It is known that such placements encourage students to return to practice in these communities and/or have a better understanding and appreciation of medicine in these areas.
