This scholarship is awarded to a domestic student from a refugee background who is enrolling in the Bachelor of Science and experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Benefits
- $10,000 per year (paid in two instalments in April and September) for up to three years
Requirements
- Be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian permanent humanitarian visa;
- Have faced difficult circumstances related to being a refugee or asylum seeker; and,
- Have applied for the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.
Preference will be given to holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:
- Demonstrated level of disadvantage (using the VTAC Access Scholarship selection process),
- Academic merit, as determined by the highest ATAR.
