The Ronald John Gleghorn Bursary is offered to Australian students undertaking a graduate research degree in the fields of Rheumatoid Arthritis and/or Varicose Veins.
This bursary provides a fortnightly stipend of $38,500 per year (2025 full-time student rate) for up to 3.5 years. The stipend may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, parenting and partner leave.

Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of academic merit, the faculty scholarship score, demonstrated skill in the relevant research area, career aspiration and the terms and conditions of the trust.
The selection committee will base its assessment on the application form, academic transcripts, the faculty scholarship score and the student's project proposal, CV and referee reports.
