The Omar Foda Memorial Prize is awarded to students whose thesis submitted as part of their Master of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) contains the most beautiful new mathematical result or exposition. Preference is given to students whose thesis is broadly related to mathematical physics topics.
This prize provides a one-off payment of $500.
To be considered for this prize, you must, in the award year:
The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their weighted average mark for research project component subjects and the thesis examiner's statement. Preference will be given to research projects in fields broadly related to mathematical physics if ranked 20th or higher.
