University of Melbourne Olive Battersby Scholarship 2027

The Olive Battersby Scholarship, established in memory of the late Olive Battersby, who worked for the University from 1948 until 1987, is offered to high-achieving students who are enrolled in second year of Master of Teaching and experience disadvantaged circumstances.

Benefits

• A single scholarship of up to $13,500 will be awarded annually.

Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident
• be enrolled in a full-time load of the second year* of the Master of Teaching in 2026 for the full year
• be experiencing financial disadvantage

*do not apply for this scholarship if you are commencing the Master of Teaching in 2026

Selection criteria

• eligible applicants will be assessed on the grounds of academic merit and financial disadvantage
• academic merit will take into account first-year results in the Master of Teaching
• financial disadvantage will be determined by the results of the Student Financial Assessment Form
