The Monika Law Scholarship was established with a gift from Monika Law and is offered to Indigenous students who are enrolled in a graduate degree by coursework, identify as a woman, and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $15,000 per year for two years paid in half-yearly instalments of $7,500 in April and September.
Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
- Identify as a woman (cis-gender or trans women)
- Have applied for and meet the Melbourne Graduate Access requirements for a graduate degree by coursework.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject the Coursework Scholarship Terms and Conditions and can be deferred. In addition, the student must:
- Affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Confirming your eligibility.
- Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and to provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
Interview Dates and Process
- This scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on overall level of disadvantage. When determining the successful candidate for this this award, other awards received by candidates are considered.
