The Health Sciences Rural Placement Bursary is offered to support students who are undertaking clinical placements in rural Australia as part of their nursing and allied health studies within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Benefits
The bursary provides a weekly allowance of up to $150, based on your placement duration. This is a one-off payment, paid on completion of the placement.
Requirements
To be considered for this bursary, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Master of Nursing Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Clinical Audiology, Master of Social Work, Master of Speech Pathology or Doctor of Optometry (or their successors)
- Undertake a clinical placement in a rural or remote area (Modified Monash Model Category 2-7)
Interview Dates and Process
- The bursary is offered to student(s) in order of their application submission date until the funding allocation is exhausted.

When will I know the outcome?
- We ask that you allow up to 15 business days for your application to be processed and outcome to be provided.
- Students can be supported more than once in a calendar year.
