The prize, first awarded in 1938, is to be awarded by Council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences who before making any such recommendation must consult the Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health.
Up to $5,000 annually.
Awarded annually to the candidate who, through a thesis or other published research, has made the most significant contribution to Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Applicants must be graduates (within the last 10 years but not less than one year) of a University of Melbourne Medicine Degree which includes Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences.
Applicants must submit an application form and include details about publications, grants and awards received, presentations delivered and impact of their research. The application must be certified by the Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health (or delegate) and then submitted to the Department Manager by no later than Friday 29th August 2025.
