University of Melbourne Architectus Scholarship 2025

The Architectus Scholarship is offered to Indigenous students who are enrolling in graduate study in the field of Architecture, Building and Planning and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students who intend to undertake the Master of Architecture.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for up to 2 years for the 200 point masters, or 3 years for the 300 point masters, paid in instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
  • Have applied for a masters degree by coursework in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning under the Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) Indigenous Australian category (and any other categories if applicable to their circumstances)
  • Meet Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) entry requirements for a masters degree by coursework in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.

Interview Dates and Process

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their overall disadvantage score. Preference is given to students enrolling in the Master of Architecture (200 or 300 point degree) (or its successor) if ranked tenth or higher.

Conditions:

This scholarship is subject to the University’s Coursework Scholarship Terms and Conditions and can be deferred to the following year with prior approval from the University. In addition, students must:

  • Affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your eligibility
  • Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of apprecia3on or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
