University of Melbourne Andrew Gibson Award 2025

The Andrew Gibson Award was established with a gift from Judo Bank and is offered to high achieving students who are enrolled in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Commerce and demonstrate leadership experience and potential.

Benefits

$10,000. Judo Bank may also offer the scholarship recipient the opportunity to undertake an internship at an agreed time. If the internship is accepted, the awardee will be paid at appropriate rates.

Requirements

To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be a currently enrolled student undertaking the Bachelor of Commerce
  • Have a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or above
  • Have completed 100 points of study in the Bachelor of Commerce (total points requirement)
  • Be able to demonstrate community involvement and leadership potential
  • Not be enrolled in the final semester of study

Selection Process

The scholarship will be awarded by the Faculty of Business & Economics on recommendation from the selection panel.

Short-listed candidates will be required to attend an interview.

  • Selection is based on:
    • Demonstrated community involvement and leadership potential
    • Academic Merit (Weighted Average Mark of 75 or above)
