Based at the prestigious University of Adelaide, transitioning to Adelaide University from 01 January 2026, the RAIR Centre brings together the innovation power of the State Government of South Australia, The University of Adelaide, and CSIRO Data61 in an unprecedented partnership.

Benefits

The scholarship will be for 3.5 years and has a stipend of $36,000 per annum. 

It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval. 

Requirements

• Applicants must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or an international student who is able to meet the eligibility criteria to study for a PhD at the University of Adelaide in the stated field.
• Noting that for Theme 1, there is an additional requirement for applicants to hold an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Mathematics.
