This scholarship is valued up to $3,000 and will be paid as one-off payment.

Requirements

• Domestic/international student
• Full-time or part-time student currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree at the University of Sydney Law School
• Must have been approved by the University of Sydney Law School to undertake a law program including inter alia international mooting, legal internships, legal placement (for credit or co-curricular), exchange offshore programs, etc.

Interview Dates and Process

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:

• Academic merit, and
• A personal statement demonstrating
• Why applicant want to participate in the international mooting, legal internships, legal placements, exchange and offshore programs and how it will further their academic, career and personal goals, and
• The contributions applicant has made to the University and/or community including volunteering, extracurricular and sporting activities.

b. The scholarship has no separate application process and it will be auto-awarded based on the Selection Criteria 3.a. under the international mooting, legal internships, legal placements, exchange and offshore programs.

c. The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of the Dean of the Sydney Law School, or their nominated delegate and one other staff member from the School.
