The University of Notre Dame Australia Catholic Education, Rural & Remote Scholarship 2026

The Catholic Education Western Australia Regional, Rural & Remote Scholarship (Scholarship) has been established by Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA). The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support and encouragement to Regional, Rural & Remote Year 12 students from Catholic High Schools in Western Australia commencing a Bachelor of Education at The University of Notre Dame Australia (University) at the Fremantle campus.

Benefits

The value of the Scholarship will be $4,000 fee remission per year for the duration of the scholarship. One scholarship is available to be awarded.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or International Student Visa holder.
• Be commencing a Bachelor of Education at the University.
• Be studying at Fremantle campus.
• Have completed Year 12 at a Catholic School in Western Australian the year immediately prior to commencing undergraduate studies; or
• Have completed a Gap year or a Tertiary Pathway Program in the 12 months between completing Year 12 at a Catholic School in Western Australian and commencing undergraduate studies.
• Provide evidence of having a permanent home address classified as Regional (Inner or Outer), Rural or Remote.

Selection Process

The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, best demonstrates through their application and supporting documentation:

• Engagement, commitment or persistence in high school studies;
• Any personal circumstances which warrant special consideration.
• Intention to work within Catholic education in Western Australia.
