The purpose of the Scholarship is to enable graduates from Catholic Secondary Schools in Western Australia to undertake a Bachelor’s Degree in the disciplines of Commerce or Philosophy or Theology at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle (University).

Benefits
The University will award:
- One Scholarship for the duration of a three-year Bachelor of Commerce Degree (or 3 ½ years in some instances, if approved by the Dean of the School of Business); or
- One Scholarship for the duration of a three-year Bachelor of Philosophy or Bachelor of Theology Degree.
Requirements
To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
- Be a School Leaver;
- Have graduated from a Catholic Secondary School and be of Catholic denomination;
- Be eligible to enrol or be enrolled as a full-time student at The University of Notre Dame Australia in the School of Business or the School of Philosophy & Theology;
- Be able to demonstrate that their educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances as set out in the Selection Criteria.
Selection Criteria: The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, best demonstrates through their application and supporting documentation:
- Financial need;
- Personal circumstances which warrant special consideration;
- Personal qualities and motivation;
- Community service and contribution to school; and
- Academic merit.
Selection Process
- The Scholarship will be advertised on the University website in the year preceding the award of the Scholarship.
- Written applications setting out compliance with the Eligibility Requirements and addressing the Selection Criteria must be made on the application form available from the University website.
- Applications will be submitted to The University of Notre Dame Australia.
- The Selection Committee may interview selected applicants.
- The successful recipient will be notified in writing by the University.
- If in a particular year there are no candidates eligible for the Scholarship, or if the Selection Committee is of the view that there are no candidates of sufficient merit, the Scholarship shall not be awarded.
