The Stantec Future Leaders Scholarship supports students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Architecture and Mathematics (STEAM) who demonstrate leadership potential, resilience and a commitment to creating positive change in their communities.

Benefits

• Stantec will be awarding $200,000 in scholarships for the 2027-28 academic year, with individual award amounts ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 each.

Requirements

To apply for this award, you must:

• Be enrolled in a college, university, or post-secondary institution in the 2027-28 academic year in pursuit of a Bachelor's or Technical/Vocational degree. Funds will be issued to the institution in Summer 2027.
• Pursue a STEAM major. "STEAM" refers to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. For the purposes of this program, it also includes education majors planning to teach STEM.
• Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to making a positive impact in their chosen field or community or have demonstrated perseverance in overcoming challenges or barriers in pursuit of their education and career goals.

Selection Process

An independent selection committee will evaluate the Complete applications and select recipients considering:

• Educational goals/Academic potential
• Community service/Leadership through extracurricular activities and career ambitions
• Essay content: Communication skills and personal statement
