QUT - Tom Dixon Media and Communication Top-Up Scholarship 2025

The Tom Dixon Scholarship was a generous donation to QUT from Emeritus Professor Tom Dixon AM. Emeritus Professor Tom Dixon AM valued systems that allow people to achieve self definition and self realisation, and strongly believed that communication is a central tool to achieve this.

Benefits

You will receive an annual top-up of $10,000 per annum for a maximum of two years (maximum $20,000). The top-up will be paid fortnightly in addition to your living stipend.

Requirements

To be eligible for this top-up scholarship, you must:

• already be in receipt of a living stipend scholarship from QUT of at least $33,637 per annum
• be a full-time doctoral student
• have not yet completed your confirmation milestone
• successfully undertake your confirmation milestone between 1 November 2025 and 31 March 2026
• be undertaking research in either the media and/or communication disciplines.

  • disciplinary alignment: explain how your project fits
