The Indigenous Australian Accommodation Scholarship provides culturally supportive accommodation to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students transition to university life. It offers opportunities for pastoral care, cultural support, and academic growth within the QUT community. A 12-month accommodation scholarship available to eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students relocating to QUT.
First- year students commencing in Semester 2, 2025 will receive fully funded 12-month accommodation at Student One Elizabeth Street. Rooming types are allocated based on individual needs.

Extended stay options may be available for students undertaking internships, placements, deferred assessments, or summer semester studies, subject to approval by the Oodgeroo Unit.

Applicants applying via the Centralised Assessment and Selection Program (CASP) who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered automatically for the QUT Indigenous Australian Accommodation Scholarship.

This scholarship is a top up offer round with limited places available. Scholarship offers for this round will be provided on Friday 30 June 2025.
The scholarship application process is a competitive process. With a limited number of scholarships available, not all eligible applicants will be offered a scholarship.
The scholarship program starts on Friday 5 July 2025. This includes a mandatory, in-person induction during POP Week (7 July 2025). Students must be prepared to move into Student One, Elizabeth Street on or/ by Friday 5 July 2025 and attend an induction of Student One.
