Queensland Academy of Sport Top Up Scholarships 2025

The UQ and QAS are awarding up to 8 research scholarships (commencement 2024-2026) to fast track sport innovation ahead of Brisbane 2032. Students from a broad range of disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

$10,000 per annum, and $6,000 project costs over the course of the scholarship

Requirements

You must be in receipt of or apply for and be awarded a living allowance scholarship of at least the Research Training Program rate to be eligible for this scholarship. You apply for this scholarship when you submit an application for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). You don't need to submit a separate scholarship application.

  • CV
  • Academic transcript/s
  • Evidence for meeting UQ's English language proficiency requirements e.g. TOEFL, IELTS
  • Research Project Summary agreed on with advisory team (1 page including project title and brief description). Applicants are welcome to express interest in a broad research area (e.g. Biomechanical modelling and simulation) or a specific research idea.

Please note the following: Submitting the above documents does not constitute a full application for admission into The University of Queensland's PhD program. If you are selected as the preferred applicant, you will then be invited to submit a full application for admission. You can familiarise yourself with the documents required for this process on the UQ Study website.
