The School of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an interdisciplinary research program in functional biomaterials and tissue engineering at the University of Sydney. The successful candidate will undertake research at the interface of biomaterials engineering, regenerative medicine, advanced 3D printing and mechanobiology, under the supervision of Professor Hala Zreiqat.

Benefits

• Base Salary $109,263 - $121,054 + 17% superannuation

Requirements

• a PhD in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, bioengineering or a closely related discipline

• demonstrated expertise in biomaterials synthesis and tissue engineering, particularly in biomimetic gradient scaffold technologies

• experience in 3D (bio)printing techniques such as Liquid crystal display technique in mechanical simulation is highly desirable

• a strong record of independent research, evidenced by high-quality publications

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams

• experience in mentoring or supervising students

• a commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative and respectful workplace

• a sound understanding of, and commitment to, University policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
