Monash University Graduate Scholarship 2026

Monash Graduate Scholarships (MGS), provides a stipend to assist with living costs during study. Funded by Monash University, these scholarships support both domestic and international students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

Benefits

The MGS provides:

• a living allowance (stipend), and
• a relocation allowance, if eligible.

There are a number of tuition scholarships available for our international students that can be packaged with this stipend.

Requirements

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder
• An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

• meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements; and
• meet Monash English language proficiency requirements.

This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.

Selection Process

• Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.
• If you are awarded a MGS, it's important to familiarise yourself with the associated conditions and benefits as outlined in the policy and procedures.
