Monash Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship 2026

The Monash Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship (formerly Monash Equity Scholarship) are awarded on equity grounds to domestic graduate research students studying at a Monash campus in Australia. Additional consideration will be given if you have experienced other forms of career disruption due to family/carer responsibilities or educational disadvantage during past studies, such as being a recent refugee, living in a regional or remote area, have a disability or long-term medical condition, or have experienced difficult personal circumstances.

Benefits

Monash will provide:

• a living allowance (stipend), and
• a relocation allowance for awardees who relocate to Victoria from interstate or from overseas.

Requirements

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder

You must meet the following criteria:

• hold an Australian or New Zealand bachelor’s degree with second class honours or qualifications and/or research experience deemed equivalent by the University;

• meet Monash English language proficiency requirements; and

• have had their academic career adversely affected due to equity grounds.

This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
