The Macquarie University Sponsored Student Grant is awarded to future international students commencing their course in 2025 on a fully-funded external scholarship from Asian or Australian scholarship bodies.

Benefits

The scholarship is a one-off award worth up to AUD $5,000. There are a limited number of Sponsored Student Grants awarded each year.

Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be in receipt of a fully funded external scholarship from Asian or Australian scholarship bodies. Applicants also have to meet the following criteria:

• Hold a full offer.
• Be a full-time student studying on-campus.
• Achieve a minimum 65 WAM for postgraduate or a minimum 85 ATAR (or equivalent) for undergraduate applications.
• Commence study in the session and year indicated in your scholarship letter of offer.
• Be a citizen of Southeast Asia
