  • Bachelor of Education
  • Master of Teaching (Secondary)

Requirements

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand but currently residing in Australia (Onshore).
  • Not be a humanitarian or other permanent visa holder.
  • Be a full fee-paying student (non-sponsored).
  • Be applying for direct entry into any of the courses listed above. Other students are not eligible.
  • Commence their study at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses in 2026.
  • Meet the University’s English requirements and all other conditions stated on the Offer Letter.
  • Obtain an offer letter before selection for the scholarship. Exceptions must be approved by La Trobe University. All students must have passed Genuine Student assessment, including financial checks before they can be considered for this scholarship.

Selection Process

Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:

  • Outstanding academic performance (minimum WAM* requirement 70).
  • English language proficiency.
  • Written statement received in the application form.

The final number of successful candidates will be determined through a thorough evaluation process and confirmed by La Trobe University.

*A WAM is an average mark that takes into account the credit point value of the subjects that you have completed. It is based on the actual mark of all subjects completed in your course at any given time.

How To Apply

Please note that this scholarship will not be automatically considered.

Eligible applicants will need to submit an application for their desired course(s) and intake and be in receipt of an unconditional offer prior to applying for this scholarship.

Students must prepare a maximum 250-word statement explaining "Beyond academic achievement, what specific difference do you hope to make in your field or community after completing your degree at La Trobe University?" and submit it in the application form.
