Requirements
Eligible courses
- All undergraduate degrees of a standard duration of four (4) years or less
- All Master degrees by coursework of a standard duration of two (2) years or less

This scholarship is only for:
- International, fee-paying, non-sponsored students of any nationality except Australian; and
- Are enrolled in a Curtin undergraduate degree course of a standard duration of four (4) years or less, or Master degree by coursework of two (2) years or less; and
- Will be studying at a Curtin Western Australian campus (WA Campus) commencing in a study period from July 2025 onwards; and
- Achieved a Course-Weighted Average of 95% in the most recent and eligible course of study.
Please note that this scholarship:
- Provides 40% off the tuition fee of the course, as a tuition fee credit against all unit(s) enrolled within the course.
- Only covers tuition fees and does not cover any other international student expense
- Will be credited to recipient’s fee account after census date of the first study period
- Cannot be withdrawn or refunded in cash
- Can be revoked at the discretion of Curtin if recipient already has a scholarship or sponsorship
- Can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified
- Cannot be retained if a recipient defers their studies beyond a 2028 start date
- Cannot be transferred to a Curtin campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university
To accept this scholarship offer, you must pay the full Deposit amount set out in your Letter of Offer for the first study period of your Course.
As there are limited number of Scholarship available, Curtin reserves the right to cease offering this Scholarship if you do not accept by the due date stated on the Letter of Offer. You will be formally notified if the Scholarship is no longer valid or withdrawn.
Enrolment Requirements
To prevent the scholarship being revoked, the recipient:
- Cannot receive Credit for Recognition Learning (CRL) or underload in relation to your enrolment during the Scholarship period (while enrolled at either one of the global campuses or at the Perth campus).
- Must maintain enrolment as an international full fee paying and non-sponsored student during the Scholarship. If your citizenship changes during the Scholarship period, the Scholarship will only be applied to the units you completed as an international student.
- Must maintain an academic status of ‘Good Standing’. Your academic progress will be reviewed each study period and continuation of the Scholarship is subject to maintaining good academic standing at all times.
- Must maintain full-time enrolment in each study period during the Scholarship.
- Cannot take Leave of Absence or withdraw from the Course.
- Must abide by Curtin's policies and procedures, Student charter and not be found guilty of serious misconduct.
- Cannot breach the scholarship conditions outlined in their acceptance document. If found to be in breach of the scholarship conditions, Curtin may revoke the Scholarship effective immediately and any outstanding fees for your Course must be paid to Curtin.

There is no separate scholarship application required. Students are invited to apply for the Curtin course through one of Curtin University registered education agents OR apply directly to Curtin online. All qualifying applications to Curtin are automatically assessed for the John Curtin Global Excellence Scholarship. Global Admissions will assess each application accordingly and issue a supplementary letter, along with a Letter of Offer, to confirm whether the applicant has been successful.
