The Bachelor of Veterinary Science Relocation Grant is to provide support to students who receive an offer for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and are ineligible to receive the Tertiary Access Payment.

Benefits

If you are awarded this grant, you will receive $5,000 which will be paid in 1 instalment after census date of Study Period 1. Please allow up to 6 weeks after census date for payment.

Requirements

The Bachelor of Veterinary Science Relocation Grant will be offered to students who meet all the following criteria:

• Are an Australian Citizen, New Zealand (SCV 444 / or long term residency requirements), Permanent Resident or permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
• Are moving from a Major Cities in Australia area for tertiary study.
• Have completed Year 12 in 2025 and are enrolling at JCU in 2026 (the year immediately following the completion of Year 12).
• Will be studying a tertiary course at certificate IV or above in the 12 months immediately after completing year 12.
• Are 22 years of age or younger on the day they start their tertiary course.
• Are in need of financial support (i.e. receiving Centrelink payments / have parents or guardians whose income is under the current combined parental income limit of $250,000)
• Do not meet the eligibility requirements for the Tertiary Access Payment.
