If you are awarded this grant, you will receive $5,000 which will be paid in 1 instalment after census date of Study Period 1. Please allow up to 6 weeks after census date for payment.
Requirements
The Bachelor of Veterinary Science Relocation Grant will be offered to students who meet all the following criteria:
- Are an Australian Citizen, New Zealand (SCV 444 / or long term residency requirements), Permanent Resident or permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
- Are moving from a Major Cities in Australia area for tertiary study.
- Have completed Year 12 in 2025 and are enrolling at JCU in 2026 (the year immediately following the completion of Year 12).
- Will be studying a tertiary course at certificate IV or above in the 12 months immediately after completing year 12.
- Are 22 years of age or younger on the day they start their tertiary course.
- Are in need of financial support (i.e. receiving Centrelink payments / have parents or guardians whose income is under the current combined parental income limit of $250,000)
- Do not meet the eligibility requirements for the Tertiary Access Payment.
