Requirements

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent in the most recent recognised qualification.
  • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  • Be a full-time student starting in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
  • Excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology and Graduate Diploma of Flight Management.

  • Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including results of previous study and English language proficiency.
  • Scholarship applies to tuition fees only for students commencing in 2024, 2025 or 2026. Students who defer commencement to 2027 or later are not eligible to receive the scholarship.
  • The scholarship covers 25% of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees only for the ‘duration’ of the eligible program on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements (see below). The duration is defined as the ‘Program Length’ of the first degree program as stated in your Letter of Offer, less any credit received for previous study. Each deduction will be applied by the census date of each relevant trimester of the program.
  • If a student is awarded a Griffith international student scholarship that is worth more than 25% of tuition fees, the scholarship at the higher value will apply rather than this scholarship.
  • Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction. Any change from International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship being withdrawn.
  • Excludes students enrolling in Higher Degree Research, non-award, Study Abroad Program, Masters Qualifying Program, MBA (program code 5670), Bachelor of Medical Science (1306, 1280, Hons 2099), Bachelor of Dental Health Science (1577, Hons 2126), Master of Dentistry (5703), Doctor of Medicine (5099), Master of Pharmacy (5661), Master of Speech Pathology (5706, 5567), English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, programs that are only offered part time, and programs delivered onshore or offshore in collaboration with a partner organisation.

Interview Dates and Process

  • Students must be enrolled full-time, making progress in their studies, meet their student visa requirements and meet the requirements of their program of study to receive and maintain the scholarship, unless credit prevents full-time enrolment.
  • To maintain scholarship eligibility, students must pass all courses for each trimester of study and successfully progress on to enrol in the next trimester. A minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0 point grading scale must be maintained annually to qualify for the following year fee deductions. Cumulative GPA is GPA accumulated for grades awarded to the student across all terms in their academic program. Only courses graded with a GPA are included in the cumulative GPA calculation. The cumulative GPA will be reviewed at the end of Trimester 2 for student who commence in Trimester 1 and the end of Trimester 1 for students who commence in Trimester 2 or Trimester 3.
  • Students must remain enrolled in the program for which the scholarship offer was made, which is stated on the Letter of Offer issued by Griffith International Admissions.
  • Scholarship recipients who apply and are approved for an internal transfer in 2024, 2025 or 2026 must meet the full time enrolment requirement, minimum cumulative GPA and pass all course requirements in order to retain their scholarship up to the maximum of the credit point value of the original program.
  • Should a student withdraw or cancel for any reason, the scholarship amount is non-refundable.
