The Francis Regan Student Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to a student who is enrolled in an Honours degree or Masters degree in Business, Criminology, Government or Law at Flinders University and who is undertaking a research project in any area of social justice.
The scholarship is intended to support a student who has demonstrated a commitment to social justice issues through either employment, study, volunteer work or in some other way.
The scholarship has been established in memory of Professor Francis Regan who was a Professor of Legal Studies at Flinders University until his death in 2010. His family, colleagues and friends have provided funds to establish the scholarship for a student working in the field of social justice, an area to which Professor Regan was deeply committed.
Subject to the availability of funds, the scholarship will be offered annually and will be for the sum of $1,000.

Applications will be assessed by a panel consisting of the Vice-President and Executive Dean, College of Business, Government and Law or nominee who will act as chair, and two nominees, who will be appointed by the VP&ED.
The scholarship is offered annually, and recipients may only receive it once. The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the selection panel. There is no obligation to offer the scholarship in any given year, should there not be a suitable applicant.
