ECU Visa Application Fee Offset Bursary 2025

As a result of the visa application cost increase on July 1, 2024, this bursary is intended to support international non-award students who only study at Edith Cowan University for 1 semester or 1 year in 2025.

Benefits

• Eligible non-award students will receive the AUD$800 bursary following the required processes and successful verification.

Requirements

To be eligible for this bursary you must:

• be an international student studying in one of the categories below:
  - Study Abroad (tailored and direct)
  - Student Exchange
  - Joint Master’s
  - Dual Degree;
• be studying a minimum 45 credit points in one of the above categories on-campus for the first time commencing in Semester 1, 2025 or Semester 2, 2025;
• be able to meet mandatory vaccination and travel requirements set by the Australian and Western Australian Governments;
• provide evidence when requested that the Student Visa was lodged on or after July 1, 2024, and the amount of $1,600 was paid to the Australian Government for the Student Visa, and the Student Visa has been subsequently approved; and
• accept the bursary notification offer within 28 calendar days, for the bursary payment to be made.

Application Deadline

How To Apply

There is no formal application process.
Eligible non-award students will be identified at week 3 of the teaching period and issued a conditional bursary offer to accept.
Students who have accepted the offer within 28 days will be paid the AUD$800 bursary directly into their nominated Australian bank account following final and successful eligibility verification at census date.
