The 2026 Community Bank Bayswater - University Scholarship for Bachelor Studies aims to assist academically motivated students from the City of Bayswater (WA) local government area, who have been offered a place at an Australian University for the first time at Bachelor's degree level in 2026 and are experiencing challenging circumstances. The Scholarship program supports the following study related expenses - accommodation costs, course costs, study-related materials / equipment, textbooks, tutoring and / or education related travel (within Australia).

- The scholarship award value is up to $3,000 per year for 2 years for each successful recipient, subject to the criteria set out below and satisfactory academic performance.
Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
General requirements:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
- must reside in or attend school in the City of Bayswater (WA) local government area;
- demonstrate leadership both within, and outside, your school community;
- demonstrate Community engagement such as involvement in community groups / activities or extra curricula in school;
- demonstrate the challenging circumstances (financial &/or social) hindering your ability to undertake further study; and.
- be an academically motivated student who can demonstrate community involvement
In addition, for study at University requirements:
- You will be a first-time tertiary student at first year undergraduate bachelor’s degree level in 2026;
- You have been offered a full-time place to study on campus/off campus (including online) for a bachelor’s degree in an approved Australian course at an Australian university;
- You have completed Year 12; and
- You must be aged 25 years or younger as at 31st January 2026.
Students under the age of 18 years will require parental/guardian consent to accept this scholarship.
Selection Process
Scholarships will be awarded on the recommendation of a selection committee and will be based on how an applicant addresses the following criteria:
- Academic achievement
- Financial and/or social challenges
- Evidence of leadership and citizenship within their communities
