Curtin University National Industry PhD Program 2025

The project will examine chemical speciation within GlyCat™, an eco-friendly metal leaching process employing glycine with cyanide that is being developed for the worldwide gold industry.

Benefits

One Scholarship is available to provide a living stipend of $37,500.00 p.a. pro rata indexed, based on full-time studies, for up to a maximum of 3.5 years, plus top-up scholarships of $15,000 p.a. (from industry partner Draslovka Mining Innovation Centre) and $7,000 p.a. (from National Industry PhD Program) (note that top-up scholarships are not indexed).

Requirements

  • This project is open to domestic only applicants.
  • The ideal candidate will be an Honours or Master degree graduate in Chemistry (or a closely-related discipline) and be motivated to undertake a Chemistry research degree project in collaboration with industry.
  • The successful candidate must meet the criteria for enrolment in the Chemistry PhD and must enrol on a fulltime basis.
