The purpose of the Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship (Scholarship) has been developed to support and encourage single mothers as they pursue their higher education, helping them achieve long-term economic security for themselves and their children.

Benefits
- A total value of up to $40,000 paid as a cash stipend of $5,000 per semester. The recipients can use the funding at their discretion to contribute towards education related expenses.
- Recipients will also have access to the following:
- Admittance to the Financial Literacy Workshop for Women
- Individualised support through the Curtin Tax Clinic
- An online resource of relevant Curtin University support services
Requirements
- Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
- Identify as female
- Enrolled in a minimum of 50 credits in an eligible degree for semester 1, 2026 at Curtin University
- Have a minimum course weighted average (CWA) of 50 (or equivalent)
- Low socio-economic background and/or experiencing financial hardship
- *Single Mum with school-aged dependents they are raising whilst undertaking their degree
- Not in receipt of any other scholarships that are from the same funding source and/or for the same purpose
*Applicants must have at least 51% of care of dependants, dependants must be school-aged or younger
