Benefits
- For full time commencing students, the scholarship is valued at $8,000 per annum, payable in two equal instalments of $4,000 in session one and session two
- For full time continuing students the scholarship is valued at $6,000 per annum, payable in two equal instalments of $3,000 in session one and session two
- For part-time commencing students the scholarship is valued at $4,000 per annum, payable in two equal instalments of $2,000 in session one and session two
- For part-time continuing students the scholarship is valued at $3,000 per annum, payable in two equal instalments of $1,500 in session one and two.
Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:
- a First Nations Australian citizen;
- an active student studying in enabling, undergraduate, honours or postgraduate awards;
- enrolled in a Charles Sturt course as a Commonwealth supported student in a Commonwealth supported place;
- a commencing or continuing student. Continuing students must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher (pass grade average);
- full time or part time
- applicants must not be in receipt of the Centrelink Student Start up Loan or have received a payment from any other source for the same purpose of education costs.
- in financial need:
- in receipt of an eligible means tested Centrelink Benefit (refer to the list on the Guidelines tab for eligible benefits), or
- able to demonstrate financial hardship.
Please note: Priority will be awarded to First Nations students from remote or regional areas.
Interview Dates and Process
- Applications will be assessed in accordance with the eligibility criteria and supporting documentation.
- Applications with incorrect or no supporting documentation will be deemed ineligible.
- You may be assessed as eligible but not receive an offer due to quota restrictions.
- There are no interviews required.
