Requirements

• Must identify as a First Nations Australian student. You may be required to provide supporting documentation to confirm Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
• Must be enrolled in a TAFE Certificate III or Certificate IV course on one of the following fields:
  • Business and Retail Services
  • Health and Community Services
  • Conservation and Ecosystem Management
  • Creative Arts
  • Culinary Arts and Hospitality
  • Education
  • Hair and Beauty Services
  • Information Communication Technology and Cyber Security
  • Sport and Fitness
  • Tourism
• Must be enrolled full-time for the duration of the scholarship - i.e. enrolled in at least 200 contact hours.
• Must be a resident of the Northern Territory

Interview Dates and Process

Your written statement must address each of the selection criteria in order to rank in the selection process.

Essential

• Provide a short summary which includes details of your background, reasons why you are applying for the scholarship, reasons for choosing your area of study and details of your future plans and ambitions, including employment goals
• Demonstrate commitment to the Northern Territory and an intention to use your skills in this region and to build a career in this region
• Demonstrate a financial, cultural or social disadvantage and how this scholarship will support success in your studies

Desirable

• Preference will be given to female applicants who are first in family to undertake TAFE studies. If this is applicable for you, please outline this in a short statement

If you have non-CDU qualifications (from high school or other universities), you are encouraged to submit proof of academic performance to support your application. You do not need to provide us CDU academic transcripts.
