Charles Darwin University Affinity Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship 2025

 

Affinity is one of Australia's leading workforce solutions organisations that specialises in partnering with state/territory health departments and other leading healthcare providers to provide workforce solutions. This scholarship honours Karen and Paul Whitlock, who, with a combined service of 33 years at Affinity, have both dedicated themselves at every stage of Affinity's journey, from inception in 2003, over the challenging COVID period, to our current form. Karen and Paul have served Affinity nurses and midwives in reaching communities. The purpose of Affinity Healthcare Group to provide scholarships for students studying Nursing and Midwifery.

Benefits

$2,500 per semester for six (6) semesters

Requirements

Must be enrolled in one of the following:

    • Bachelor of Nursing
    • Bachelor of Nursing Honours
    • Bachelor of Midwifery
    • Bachelor of Midwifery Honours
    • Graduate Diploma of Midwifery
  • Must have commenced an eligible course no earlier than semester 1 current year
  • Must be a First Nations student, or must have demonstrated commitment to support First Nations Communities (evidence required)
  • Must be currently living in a regional area with RA2-RA7 rating (Health Workforce Locator) (Provide appropriate evidence).

Interview Dates and Process

Your written statement must address each of the selection criteria in order to rank in the selection process.

  • Demonstrate your commitment and strong connections to the nursing and midwifery sectors in regional, rural and remote areas
  • Demonstrate a financial disadvantage and explain how this scholarship will support success in your studies
