As a proud partner of AFL Queensland, Bond University offers two Riewoldt Family AFL Excellence Scholarships each year for students commencing in the following January semester.
Offered in partnership with the Riewoldt Family, these unique full tuition scholarships provide an opportunity for two athletes to enhance their footballing career whilst also gaining a first-class educational experience at Bond University.

Benefits
As a Riewoldt Family AFL Excellence Scholar, you will be awarded with 100% tuition remission for any single diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree*, commencing in the following January semester.
The scholarship also includes free accommodation for the first year should you wish to live in a university residence.
Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a domestic student applying for either a single diploma, single undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Demonstrate outstanding and current involvement in AFL
- Meet the prerequisites and the admissions requirements for chosen degree
Application Documents
- Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community. If you are a diploma or undergraduate applicant, it is a COMPULSORY component of your application to use our Summary of Achievements?template to present this evidence. You will need to complete all sections of the template provided and upload it as one Word or PDF document, to your scholarship application.
Your application CANNOT be considered if you provide your evidence in any other form, such as a personal CV or resume.
- A detailed sport CV highlighting all sporting achievements
- At least two relevant references from individuals who can support sporting achievements (please upload as one Word or PDF document)
- Match footage or a highlights reel of no more than 3 minutes.

If you meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship, we encourage you to apply by following the below steps:
- Complete the Bond University Study Application Form to lodge your application for your chosen program. Learn more about this process.
- Complete the Bond University Scholarship Application Form. Simply use the same log-in details as used for your study application and enter 'scholarship' in the keyword field on the 'Start an Application' tab.
You must complete and submit your scholarship application before the application closing date as no late scholarship applications will be considered!
