Benefits

The scholarship is worth $8500. As a successful recipient, you receive $7000 ($3500 per semester or equivalent) in your first year of study and $1500 ($750 per semester or equivalent) in your second. We will apply the money to your general or tuition account.

Requirements

You are eligible for the scholarship if you are a new or returning international student who: holds a student visa; studies on campus, and; enrols in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework course.

Avondale reserves the right to award the scholarship according to its strategic plan.

Conditions:

We award the scholarship at census date subject to you:

• Meeting requirements for admission as an enrolled student in four units per semester (undergraduate course) or two units per semester (postgraduate coursework course);
• Explaining what opportunity to study at Avondale means to you;
• Demonstrating your interest in and commitment to learning, and;
• Explaining how you are serving your world for good and describing the positive impact you are making.

Interview Dates and Process

Selection for the scholarship is competitive. You are more likely to receive the scholarship if you: provide clear, concise and relevant statements as responses to the questions we ask in the application form, and; apply by the deadlines. 

As recipient of the scholarship you must: 

• Continue to meet the eligibility requirements;
• Maintain an academic status of good standing by passing more than 50 per cent of the units in which you enrol, and; 
• Maintain good standing in the community. 

As recipient of the scholarship you cannot: 

• Receive a second Avondale-funded scholarship;
• Redeem the scholarship for cash, or;
• Transfer or defer the scholarship.
