The donor has established this scholarship in memory of her former UNE lecturer, the late Andrew McCue, who was a highly regarded practitioner and teacher of theatre as well as a talented scriptwriter, composer, and musician. Andrew was a lecturer in Theatre Studies at UNE from 1987 until his retirement in 2009. Andrew died in 2015.
The purpose of this scholarship will be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in a Bachelor of Theatre and Performance or Bachelor of Arts with a major in Theatre Studies at the University of New England.

Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following core and scholarship specific eligibility requirements
- Citizenship: Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident: The applicant must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident as defined by the Commonwealth
- New or Continuing: New and Continuing
- Study Mode: On-campus or Online
- Study Load: Full-time (48 credit points per academic year) or part-time (minimum 24 credit points per academic year)
- Course type: Bachelor Degree including Honours
Selection Process
Selection:
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of (in order):
1.1.Financial disadvantage; THEN
1.2.Academic Merit; AND
1.3.Responses to application questions.
- Preference may be given to applicants who are not in receipt of another scholarship.
- The scholarship shall be awarded by the University of New England.
- The scholarship will be administered by the University of New England.
- The Selection Committee’s decision is final.
