Alexander Donald Scholarship 2026 in The University of Sydney

Established in 1946, this scholarship has been generously donated by Keith Donald, in memory of his son Gunner Alexander Donald, a member of the Australian Imperial Forces.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student from the Sydney Grammar School with the highest mark in the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) commencing a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney.

An undergraduate scholarship $5000 scholarship for a Sydney Grammar School student with the highest mark in NSW HSC interested in studying veterinary medicine.

This scholarship is valued at $5000 per annum and is tenable for one year.

Requirements

You must:

  • have an unconditional offer of admission in full-time in a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Animal and Veterinary Bioscience) or Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney
  • have achieved the highest mark in the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC)
  • have graduated from the Sydney Grammar School.
  • Note: Applicants who have deferred or have undertaken a gap year are not eligible.
