AJ Shearsby Prize in the University of Sydney 2026

$200 scholarship to support undergraduate students enrolled in geology units in their first year of studies.This scholarship was.established in 1958 from a generously donation in honour of Mr A.J. Shearsby of Yass by his geological friends and by the Rotary Club of Yass.

The Scholarship is valued at $200 per annum and is tenable for one year.

Requirements

You must:

• be a recent school leaver and have an unconditional offer of admission in full-time in an undergraduate degree (including combined or double degrees) within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney
• have achieved the highest marks and completed Earth and Environmental Science in the HSC in the previous year (equivalent is not allowed)
• enrol in at least 6 credit points of geology units in first year of studies.

Note: This scholarship will be awarded to the student with the best result in Earth and Environmental Science.
