Rotary District 9780 is a community service organisation and member of Rotary International, a global community of more than 1.2 million men and women dedicated to building a better world. The Rotary District 9780 Ballarat Scholarship was established in 2015 to help rural and regional Victorians who are engaged in their local community and require financial support to access tertiary education at Australian Catholic University’s Ballarat campus.

This scholarship is open to those who meet all of the following criteria:
- Citizenship: domestic
- Faculty: Health Sciences and Education and Arts
- Course: Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Paramedicine, Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Paramedicine, Bachelor of Physiotherapy or the Bachelor of Education
- Campus: Ballarat
- Year level: first, second or third year (as of Semester 1 2026)
- Study load: full-time enrolment in Semester 1, 2026
- Financial hardship
- From a regional, rural or remote area of Victoria, as classified by the Rural Remote and Metropolitan Area (ASGS 2021).
