Benefits

This scholarship is valued at up to $22,048, to be paid in instalments of $2,756 per semester

Requirements

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria (or will do by the application close date):

• Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students
• Enrolled in Semester 2, 2025
• Course: any undergraduate ACU course as a Commonwealth supported student
• Year level: must not have completed a course of study equivalent to, or higher than, an Australian bachelors award unless that award is a prerequisite to your current course of study.
• Study load: full-time (exceptional circumstances maybe considered for part-time study)
• Rural or regional background
• Financial hardship
• Campus: any (on campus)
• Have incurred additional accommodation costs as a result of the necessity to move.
• Recipients are not entitled to receive this scholarship in conjunction with the ACU Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Accommodation Scholarship or the Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship.

Ongoing requirements

To remain eligible for this scholarship, recipients are required to maintain the following each semester for the duration of the scholarship:

• minimum Pass grade in at least two-thirds of credit points
• a full-time study load  

Selection Process

Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:

• Financial hardship
• Priority is given to regional and remote applicants

The recipients will be selected based on UAC's assessments and in consultation with First Peoples Directorate.
