Established in 2007 by the George Alexander Foundation (GAF), founded by the late industrialist and philanthropist George Alexander AM, for the purpose of assisting outstanding students, especially those demonstrating exceptional leadership potential and community participation, particularly those from rural and regional communities, to achieve their undergraduate educational goals at the Ballarat Campus.

Benefits
- The scholarship is valued at $25,000, to be paid instalments of $4,250 per semester for students in a three-year course and $3,187.50 per semester for students in a four-year course.
Requirements
- Commencing a new ACU course in Semester 1, 2026
- Citizenship: domestic
- Course: any ACU undergraduate degree
- Have not previously commenced a degree at undergraduate level or higher
- Study load: full-time
- Campus: Ballarat
- Minimum ATAR: attained a minimum ATAR ranking of 75 or equivalent (non-recent school leavers are welcome to apply but must display evidence of academic merit)
