The Curtin STAR Scholarship (the Scholarship) has been developed to support students who may otherwise not have an opportunity to attend university due to a low socio-economic background and financial hardship.

Benefits
- A cash stipend ranging between $500 and $1,500 per semester. The amount can be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.
Requirements
- Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
- Selected Curtin University as a first or second preference preference through TISC, or apply direct to Curtin by the scholarship’s closing date to undertake an eligible degree and major in Semester 1, 2026.
- Receive an eligible course offer and will enrol in a minimum of 25 credit points, in the eligible course at Curtin University in Semester 1, 2026
- Low socio-economic background (ascertained from answers on application form)
- Experiencing financial hardship
