2026 Principal's Regional Starter Scholarship at Curtin University Australia

The Principal's Regional Starter Scholarship has been developed to encourage and support students who are attending a regional high school to commence an undergraduate degree at Curtin University.

Benefits

  • A one-off cash payment of $1,500. The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

Requirements

High School Eligibility

  • WA high school classified as rural, regional or remote
  • Students completing ATAR or UniReady in Schools in 2025
  • Listed on Curtin’s list of 2026 StepUp schools (list of eligible schools on the top right hand side of this page)

Nominee Eligibility

Nominees must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to be nominated for the Curtin Regional Starter's Scholarship:

  • Domestic student (Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian visa)
  • High-school leaver in 2025 at an eligible West Australian high school
  • Apply through TISC and have an eligible Curtin course as first preference by 17 November 2025
  • Receive an eligible course offer at Curtin for Semester 1, 2026 in main round course offers
  • Accept course offer by offer lapse date
  • Will be enrolling full-time

Note: Regional High Schools are also able to nominate students for the Principal's Recommendation Awar
