This competitive Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in physiology and/or nursing and/or cardiovascular disease secondary prevention. This Scholarship is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

 Benefits
	- The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $42,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
Requirements
You must:
	- be willing to apply for admission, have an offer of admission or being currently enrolled to study full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney
- conduct research in 3 areas: 1) thermal and cardiovascular physiology, 2) cardiac rehabilitation and 3) co-design. Research will be predominately conducted working with older adults and people with cardiovascular disease.
Selection Process
	- The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of:
	
		- academic merit,
- curriculum vitae,
- cover letter detailing interest in subject area, and
- contact details of two academic referees.
 
- Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview.
- The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the nomination of the relevant research supervisor(s), or their nominated delegate(s).
